About

Jennifer Reckner

Hi, I’m Jennifer

Hello, I’m Jennifer Reckner, MA, LPC, NCC. I approach my practice with a commitment to cultural humility, working within an anti-oppressive and fat-positive framework. My focus revolves around trauma, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, viewing these challenges from a holistic perspective that integrates both mind and body.

Having a background as a former nurse, I specialize in supporting individuals in the healthcare field who may grapple with moral injury, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, burnout, and other work-related stressors. My goal is to assist others in overcoming obstacles through mental health education, psychotherapy, community advocacy, and by fostering a supportive and inspirational environment.

In my work, I utilize an integration of Polyvagal Theory, DBT, Psychodynamic Theory, and Sensorimotor interventions. Continuously dedicated to expanding my knowledge, I actively pursue neuroscience and engage in anti-racism activism and publication. I am always seeking novel approaches to integrate mental and physical healthcare.

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with academic distinction from Northwestern University. I am available to see clients in Wisconsin and Washington state, and I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey to mental well-being.

Expert Counseling for Caregivers Mental Wellness

Hi, I’m Jennifer Reckner, MA, LPC, NCC.

From the time of pregnancy, or trying to become pregnant, to three years postpartum, birthing people can be impacted by prenatal depression, postpartum depression or anxiety, PTSD, and other mood disorders. This is a unique time period in a person’s life where they can feel like they are not themselves while trying to adjust to having a new baby in their life. About 1 in 5 women will experience mental health issues during or after pregnancy and about 70% of them will minimize the severity of how they’re feeling.
